C[ovington] and O[hio] railroad daybook reused as scrapbook [manuscript], 1859, undated.

The daybook, for June and July, 1859, contains accounts for workers at "Cement Mill," possibly a camp for building crews. It gives entries for payments, expenses, including coal and "black powder," boarding house rents and general store type purchases. The volume was reused as a scrapbook and most of the pages have been pasted over with with a variety of clippings, chiefly sentimental in content. The only personally identifable items are a Baptist Sunday School certificate of merit to Eva M. Busick from R. J. Steers and a New Years greeting signed by Busick.

1 volume.
